The Bomb Factory Art Foundation is delighted to announce the return of our Artist's Film Festival. Following an impromptu hiatus, we will once again be looking for short film or video submissions that are exhilarating, experimental, sad, funny, mind-blowing or whatever artists exploring the vast potential of the moving image come up with.
We are asking applicants to submit work via an open call. All works considered must be a maximum of five minutes in duration. Works made with a production team are welcome, but you must be the lead creative behind the project - see submission form for further info.
Submissions will be shortlisted before being judged by a specifically chosen panel of film and video experts.
The Bomb Factory Artist's Film Festival
Deadline for Submissions: 4/12/20
The winning films will be shown at three socially-distanced screenings (dates to be confirmed) that the artists and their guests will be invited to attend. The films will also be made available to be viewed by the public at a special film screening event via the Bomb Factory website.
Finally, the panel of judges will select the top three films and the winning artists will be invited to be guest speakers at a special online Q+A, thus giving each participating artist the chance to discuss their work and promote it to a wide and diverse audience.
To confirm your entry, the submission fee of £3.50 must be paid via the PayPal link provided upon completing the below form. If you are having difficulty accessing the form, please try reloading this page on a desktop, in Google Chrome, or click here to open it in a new window.
Good luck with your application; this is an exciting opportunity for all film and video makers. The festival will be an exciting maelstrom of works that will feature a diverse selection of artists who demonstrate progressive and experimental approaches to working with moving image.
