MISSIONS AND AIMS
Our Mission

We create space for art and culture to thrive. As an artist-led charity, The Bomb Factory supports creativity through affordable studios, bold exhibitions, residencies, and learning programmes. Every programme we run is shaped by practising artists, ensuring that art remains challenging, inclusive, and meaningful for communities across London.

Our Aims

Participation & Community
We make art accessible to all, creating welcoming spaces where people can connect, explore, and express themselves. By prioritising inclusivity, we ensure communities who may feel excluded from traditional art spaces can engage fully with creativity.

Learning & Development
We nurture creativity at every stage. Our workshops, outreach programmes, and internships are designed and delivered by practising artists, unlocking potential, boosting wellbeing, and providing pathways into sustainable artistic careers.

Collaboration & Networks
We foster meaningful connections across the arts. Through partnerships with like-minded organisations and networks, we enable artists to share ideas, collaborate, and build resilient careers while enriching the wider creative ecosystem.

Exhibitions & Studios
We champion diversity, risk-taking, and artistic experimentation. Our exhibitions celebrate bold ideas, challenge assumptions about contemporary art, and our affordable studios provide space for artists from all backgrounds and career stages to develop and thrive.

Sustainability & Resilience
We sustain our artistic ecosystem through innovative models, keeping studios, programmes, and community initiatives alive in London’s changing urban landscape. Our approach ensures the long-term wellbeing of artists, audiences, and the communities we serve.

Our Vision

We are building a diverse, ambitious, and resilient artistic community – one where artists take risks, audiences connect deeply with contemporary art, and creativity flourishes at every level. Every aspect of our work is guided by our belief in the transformative power of art, the value of learning, and the principle that art is for everyone.
