Free Zinemaking workshop for 10-18 yr olds with Mia Maxwell, Mon 11th April, 10am - 12pm


Mia Maxwell, founder of FEM ZINE London. Celebrate yourself and your community by making your own DIY magazines inspired by the movement of zine making in London. Use collage, drawing, and writing techniques to create your own zine to take home. Great for anyone with something to say. Mia has made zines for the Mayor of London and UGG, and run zine events and workshops for Adidas, Nandos, the Science Museum, and the Tate.


T-Shirt Customisation Workshop for 10-18 yr olds with Mia Maxwell, Mon 11th April, 1 - 3 pm


Customising t shirts with stylist and costume designer Mia Maxwell. Take an old T shirt and make it new with this DIY, punk inspired workshop, and put your own twist on some simple techniques. Bring your own old t shirt, and the rest will be provided. Mia regularly uses customising in their work as a fashion stylist, and has done styling for TV adverts, theatre shows, music videos, and magazines including Vogue, GQ and Dazed.



 

Free Ceramics Workshop for 10 - 18 Year Olds with Noa Weintraub.



Join ceramist Noa Weintraub for an introduction to ceramics! This is a 2-hour introductory session to clay, exploring the hand building methods of coiling and pinching.


You will learn how to create a pot using the coil and pinch technique - one of the oldest forms of pottery making and still used throughout the world today.

You may choose one pot you wish to keep, and this will be glazed for you.




Free Painting Workshop for 10-18 year olds with artist Marcus Nelson 'Painting Emotions'


'Painting Emotions', a Drawing & Painting Workshop fro 10-18 yr olds with artist Marcus Nelson Wed 13th April, 11-1pm. Marcus explores emotions through working together using language, and translating these into a work of art.





Free Cyanotype Workshop for 10 - 18 Year Olds with Ibrahim Azab & Lina Ivanova



Join Ibby Azab & Lina Ivanova for a cyanotype workshop at The Bomb Factory Foundation. Cyanotype is one of the oldest printing processes which uses UV light (the Sun), absorbent materials and cyanotype chemicals. Participants will be taken through the process step-by-step to create their own prints with found objects in the nearby area. All materials provided. Please bring a packed lunch for the lunch break.
