Drawing on his upbringing in the West of Scotland in the early 2000s, Trackie McLeod’s FRUIT II explores queer identity, shame, and masculinity through textiles, screenprint, sound, and sculpture. With nods to lads' mags, JD Sports bags and Burberry checks, the show captures the tension between wanting to fit in and needing to hide. Each work is titled after a woman who shaped the artist’s journey, celebrating the vital role of femme influence. Visceral, nostalgic, and deeply personal - FRUIT II is the much-anticipated follow-up to Trackie’s solo show at Govan Project Space, now debuting at our Holborn gallery. Join us for the Private View on the 22nd May - an evening featuring a DJ, drinks, and exciting new work from a rising talent. Not to be missed for anyone interested in the evolving career of this up-and-coming artist.
