THEATRE

The Bomb Factory Theatre’s mission is to create exciting and genre-defying new work. Innovative storytelling is at the heart of what we do.

The Bomb Factory Theatre is a women-led emerging theatre company that believes in the transformative power of storytelling. We engage in contemporary debates to create work that is challenging and provocative.

By prioritising community, we cultivate meaningful relationships with the writers we collaborate with and support our partners in producing work they might not have the opportunity to develop elsewhere. We offer free dramaturgical support, workshops, research and development facilities, as well as directorial guidance to aid the development process of our theatre makers, empowering the creation of the stories we believe deserve to be brought from page to stage.

Established in 2019 by India Harrison Peppe and former member Philippa Lawford, Bomb Factory Theatre saw success with its sell-out New-Writing Festival 'Love Come Down'. Following the challenges posed by the pandemic, Merle Wheldon-Posner joined the team as the second artistic director.

Bomb Factory Theatre operates in association with the Bomb Factory Art Foundation, an exciting and dynamic arts hub in Archway, North London. Hosting high-profile exhibitions and events, the foundation also provides studio spaces and a supportive community for 30 resident artists, along with a comprehensive education program for the local community. We are fortunate to have a permanent base at The Bomb Factory Art Foundation in Archway, London.
